I like the end of incoming, last two hours and the beginning of outgoing (two hours). You might even get lucky at the beginning of slack.

Mike, They are killing the Bluefish all over that area, especially by the Conference House. Fred went out and picked over 40 Blues, 7-12 lbs, all returned. Bass are there if you can get under the Blues. Fresh and live bait is the key.

Thanks to the fog, we didn't hit the water until around 09:00. No Bunker around the Tottenville area, tried a couple of spots drifting, nothing. We finally anchored up around the Conference House, which awarded Fred with an 8 lb Blue, which was returned.

Talk to Rose or Marie they will tell you if there are spots left, Eddie runs the place. No dock boxes are allowed, so if you planned on having one, forget it. Docks are not in the best shape.

Got this off of the following web site
http://www.noreast.com/action/

Seems legit even tho I haven't heard of this before

NY Saltwater License Call To Arms
8475 letters and emails sent so far.
Send yours today!

|New York State has proposed a saltwater license that has many in the fishing community up in arms. In short the money will go into the NYS Conservation Fund with none of it being directed to the marine district. It is expensive - $19 for a resident, $40 non-resident and $5 for a one day license. It doesn't allow for reciprocity between states and there is no blanket license for charter/partyboats. It is nothing close to what the Governor's own advisers had proposed.

We need all anglers to let their local legislators know their position on this, so our resident "Nerd" has whipped up this nifty application that will automatically email your position directly to you local rep and also to a few key legislators.

We have supplied three sample letters for you to chose from, all of which can be edited before sending. We also urge you to print a copy and send it US mail as that is the most effective way to get their attention.

This is the only chance you will have to voice your opinion on this issue as once it's passed, it's here forever.

So please take the time and let your local legislators know that your position on this proposed saltwater tax!

IT'S TIME TO MAKE SOME NOISE FOLKS!

We went on the Sea Queen Saturday night, the Flamingo didn't sail. There were around 15 fares on the boat, we had 15 keeper bass and three shorts. Lloyd and I got nothing, Sal had three, one short, two keepers and the pool winner.

Boat was scheduled to be pulled out today, went down and the pipes froze and cracked, don't know when I will be coming out. Right now there are 15 boats in front of me.
Wow, this might be a good thing, if the winds give us a break, I can still fish !!!!

Just a couple of pictues of Blues. The first one shows a Blue with a gaff mark in it's side, towards the tail. This fish was gaffed once before and got away or released.

The second is the fish starting to jump.

Winter is coming , as you can see, already going stir crazy !!!!

Didn't make it today and since the boat is coming out on Wednesday I will be hoping for better weather for Monday and Tuesday.

Picture is my friend Sal with one of those Blues. I know the scale shows 5 lbs, but his finger is holding the fish off the scale.
