Subject: Fish Report - St. Thomas
The bite in St. Thomas after being off a few weeks is starting to pick up. More and more fish are being seem everyday. With our best fishing 7 to 9 days before the full moon and 7 days after we hope to see an abundance of marlin on the July moon. Lady Lou and Hooker on their first outing of the week released a blue marlin each. On Wednesday Revenge, Prowler II and Abigail released one each. Revenge was one for two, Prowler II was one for three and Abigail was one for one. Several wahoo were also caught. Thursday the bite was even better with more fish seen. Exile with Capt. Dave Noling released two, Prowler II with Capt. Bill McCauley released one, Fish Hawk with Capt. Al Petrosky released one and had a nice wahoo. All visiting boats were waiting for todays report from the local fleet to head for the north drop tomorrow. Our winds have calmed some to 10 to 15 Southeast and we have a good 2 to 4 ft. chop which makes for good fishing. Six boats are at the Turks and Caicos waiting for the weather to change before traveling on to St. Thomas. All are planning to be here at least a week before the full moon. All fish reported have been nice sized fish. The July open will be the middle of the month. FYI: Finally the fish are here and the weather is great and my captain is a happy happy guy. Talk at ya later, Prowler Rita
