The season has not yet started. The water is still too warm. The fish might be offshore.
There are 2 or 3 shops on baniyas street Deira. Just before the signal before Emirates Bank.
In addition to this you may also check the shops in Al Ras Deira as they also have fish finders.
Try out cabellas.com for the portable fish finders which would cost you around AED 500-600.

hi fellas, wondered if someone could shed some light for me - 2 questions. 1st - does anyone know where i can get a fishfinder for my kayak in dubai? 2nd - up until about 6 weeks ago i was pulling some really good sized fish from Palm J area - then it totally stopped - ive tried changing bait/lure etc but now ive had only 2 good hits - is it just the season?

For All Fishing Buddies Who Know Their Worth
Dear Friends,
Those of you who respect yourselves and do not hide your true identities can and will be able to see through the nonsense being propagated on this forum. I do not have to defend myself again and again.
I am writing to let you know I have nothing commercial in mind to do with you guys. I am no longer living in UAE and created the website for local angling community back home. The tackle shop does not cater to international customers due to shipping costs and other legalities involved.
The FishTalk bulletin board was also created for the local angler in mind, and it was only after I saw what was going on here on Fish Reports I added The International Angler -> The Gulf Angler forum. All of that is free and I earn not a single penny out of it. It is like fish reports but with a difference: Arsholes will be kicked in their butts and thrown out, while those dedicated to fishing will have all the freedom to enjoy discussing the sport they love.
Needless to say, there is no compulsion to join.

Yes, you are very right this is not the place to discuss personal matters. I would have kept quiet but it just happens it is my name that has been publicly slandered.
Irrespective of how much truth there is in claims this guy makes, he has kept his and his ex-wife's names behind curtains. Why??? Because he knows he is violating some laws that can send him to jail.
Sorry, I come back to this topic again and again but hope you guys would forgive for it is my name that has been soiled publicly.

Any how, havent been fishing these days. However went last week to the place behind Sharjah fishing acquarium and packed up in half an hour. 00 bites. I guess have lost patience since resoting to boating fishng. |

Sorry, I misunderstood you.
Anyhow, you don't have to be apologetic about it; come to think of it, I would be proud to guide some poor woman to the truth  ; but as this is a fishing forum, let us keep religion away. Anyway everybody has the right to choose whatever faith they wish to follow, so I respect all the people on this forum; no matter what religion or country they belong to, they are all my friends.
What I can make out here is this man's wife chose to be a Muslim so according to her new faith, she could not have stayed with him unless he also converted. He must have refused so now why is he blaming others for it?
He exercised his right to stay whatever he was, and according to his faith, he did a noble thing.
His ex-wife, after converting, did what was ordained of her, which also shows she did not just fall for some love affair, but gave a great sacrifice. Again, commendable according her faith.
As for whoever married her, may have done a noble deed as well (according to his faith.) Maybe he could just have played with her life and left her when the fun was over. From what appears from the messages (if there is any truth in the story) such was not the case. This man could have left this woman and let her lead a faithless existence.
Of course a Hindu would not approve of a Hindu becoming a Muslim, just as a Muslim would not approve of a Muslim becoming a Hindu.
So let us respect everybody's right to choose whatever way of life one wants to lead.
Let me tell you clearly on the authority of the Quran; being a Muslim, even I cannot dictate any of my family members if they chose to change their religion. I hereby present a verse from the Holy Book to support my claim:
2:256 (Although this Message has been sent down by the Almighty) there is absolutely no compulsion or coercion in Religion. Whoever rejects false gods (such as the clergy, human ‘authorities’) and attains conviction in God, has grasped the Unbreakable Support. And God is Hearer, Knower.
In the end, I feel sorry for this man, whoever he is, but we must respect every human's right to choose for himself/herself. He probably thought of his wife as his property, so feels somebody stole her from him. If he had any sense, he would accept the truth and move on; probably find another woman better suited to him than cry in public.

Tell me how much effort it takes to substitute a few names in some real correspondence???
For the sake of argument, let us say what Roshin has written is true. What then? What is he trying to prove by WASHING HIS DIRTY LINEN IN PUBLIC? Nothing except THAT HE IS A DOWNRIGHT SHAMELESS PERSON!
Tell me why should I accept or even deny what this demented fool claims. Ask him to come forward with real proof! Does he have those emails he claims to be from me? Can he send those from his ex-wife's mailbox, directly to your email and mine?
Whoever he is, tell me why he has not posted all that bullshit on the forum itself? Because he will not be able to delete the stuff once his true identity is disclosed! Well don't worry, when I find who he is I will post everything and make it permanent (I have already saved all he has written on the web page he created!)
One thing's for sure his real name is not Roshin! See how he has used 'X' to hide letters of his name wherever it appears in the writeups to make it seem more real, but we know for sure his name ends with an 'r' because he has missed at one place. Ask him to come forward and disclose his true identity if he can prove his claims!
Lastly, on a closing note to all on this forum:
BEWARE, KEEP YOUR WIVES SAFE! IF I CAN TRAP THIS IDIOTS WIFE IN MY NET WHILE LYING IN HOSPITAL WITH A BROKEN LEG (as he has claimed), IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH FIGURING TO REALIZE WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF NOW WHEN I AM ALIVE AND KICKING!!!
