    Did you make it out to the donut or only to 30 miles? Chloro shot looks cleaner around the donut and 1908.

    I had dinner with a friend tonight who goes out of Santa Barbara and has been stopping the boat over meter marks then free diving for bluefin. He recently speared and landed a 275 pound bluefin. I saw some amazing tuna photos he speared off the channel islands. He said he shot one estimated at 4-500 pounds. They should be here by now.

    A real short ride to some warm water out of PSL
    Should be seeing some more odd fish being caught
    A sheephead caught on the Flying Fish yesterday

    I'll be out 30-50 mi from the rock on Sunday. I made some live bait so we will see.

    We ran out 26 mi on a 235 for nothing. At 17 mi there were lots of whales, birds, porpoise, bait and an occasional mark at 1-300 feet. There just wasn't enough encouragement to soak bait or run a kite. We trolled mag Rapalas and feathers for 4 hours. On the way in we tried for bonito for nothing. Water conditions were great.
