I was out near San Clemente Island and I could clearly see the AIS info on my MFD's. I contacted one of the targets and asked if he could see me on his MFD's as an AIS target and he said, No, that's a negative. It was at this point that I realized I needed a Transceiver to be seen. After much deliberation I went with the new 5w Class B and antenna splitter.
